Play of the Day Chalk Talk Videos

Option Central Chalk Talk videos combine a video presentation and a play "drawing" presentation with narration and telestration. Our Play of the Day Chalk Talk series features Tony DeMeo chalking and talking through more than 85 plays, including this one that utilizes two videos to illustrate the "strategic flexibility" that is built into the Triple Gun Offense.

Option Central's Play of the Day Chalk Talks are included in our Triple Gun Member Video Library, and a number of them have been featured in Coach DeMeo's Triple Gun Virtual Playbook series.  A total of 10 Virtual Playbook volumes have been produced to date, including "streaming" versions that are available for purchase individually at www.compusportsmedia.com/tonydemeo.

Play of the Day Chalk Talks are also featured in Coach DeMeo's CoachTube courses. Introduction to the Triple Gun Offense   - the first in a number of CoachTube courses that we produced with Coach DeMeo, also includes clinic-style presentations that introduce the Triple Gun Quick Game and Play Action pass attack.

Each Play of the Day Chalk Talk takes you through "big picture" things like the strategy and game situation, and "little things" like QB reads and progressions, run blocking and pass protection schemes, and pre and post-snap adjustments.

In Volume 67 - The Stud Option , the Triple Gun's version of what is often called a "load option", the handoff key is blocked and the play is run intentionally into the boundary to take advantage of the alignment of the Free Safety.

Additional examples of the approach used by Coach DeMeo in each Play of the Day Chalk Talk are evident in Volume 44 - the Post Wheel route, and Volume 56 - a Gun Triple Option play against a stemming Defense. Watch and listen as Coach Tony DeMeo chalks and talks his way through these two plays that appear in Volumes 5 and 6 of the Triple Gun Virtual Playbook series respectively.

In Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 63 - the Quarterback Iso - the Triple Gun Offense's variation of the "QB Follow" play, the Quarterback Iso is presented. In addition to giving the QB a better cutback option, the Triple Gun QB Iso gives the QB a better angle to read the Tailback's block than the play that originated with Paul Johnson's Flexbone Offense. Coach DeMeo illustrates and explains the play using game footage against a 4-4 Defense run by a perennial powerhouse in Division II.

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 50 focuses on the Gun Triple Option Play - the core play in the Triple Gun Offense. Coach DeMeo shows the play against a 4-3 Defense from the base Double Slot formation. Other videos in the series illustrate the Gun Triple against various fronts and a variety of formations and motion.

Included in The Quick Game collection, Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 24 is shows variation of the Hitch pattern and Volume 31, a variation of the Fade. Both are high percentage passes that complement the Triple Gun running attack with high percentage pass concepts - shown here as "answers" to a Cover 2/Cover 4 even shell.

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 16 is a Zone Read Counter Option that uses "Flip" Motion to create misdirection.

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 13 is a Double Option from an End Over formation. This is the first in a series of Play of the Day Chalk Talks that focuses on Double Option plays.

Play of the Day Volume 5 takes us through the Gun Triple Option Play from the Wing Over (Unbalanced) Formation. This particular play, run on the Goal Line has the QB walking into the End Zone untouched - largely due to the blocking angles and matchups created by the formation. Like other Play of the Day Chalk Talks, Volume 5 includes wide and tight camera angle game footage and a play illustration using Coachs Office with narration and telestration throughout to deliver a thorough explanation of the play.

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 4 featured the Slot Flip Triple from the Triple Gun Offense. This play uses motion and misdirection to get the ball on the perimeter quickly.

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 3 presented the core pass from the Triple Gun Offense - The Hitch. A great example of the implementation of "8 between the Slots" rule to keep Defenses out of 8 man fronts, this Chalk Talk also illustrates the Bootleg as an adjustment when the Hitch is covered.

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Volume 2 is a Quarterback Draw from Empty - a great play on the Goal Line

Play of the Day Chalk Talk Vol 1 is a Play Action Pass off the Jet Sweep. A favorite of Coach DeMeo, it illustrates a number of "core concepts" from The Triple Gun Offense, but can be run from any Offense.
