Welcome to Option Central
!
Now in its 10th Year, Option Central is a
subscription-based web site with an extensive collection of
information for coaches of Option Football. In addition,
Option Central Members have access to a growing collection of
coaching aids and resources that are suitable for use in any
Offense.
After a year and a half hiatus, Option Central reopened and revamped
a
Guest Writer program and started publishing new material. The Option Central Article Directory
lists the feature articles that are in the Option Central
Members database - including those from (the first) Ten Years of
Option Central. In addition, early in 2010 we began an
initiative to expand the Member Resource section with videos and
other materials, and have since released a number of videos,
some Option-specific, and others applicable to Offensive
positions. Most recently, we added a
"streaming" video - Running Back Drills and Fundamentals that
was produced by current NFL Coach Jeff Nixon of the Philadelphia
Eagles while he was coaching at the Collegiate level and a
multimedia eBook on Punting that was provided to us courtesy of
former Air Force and NFL Punter Mark Simon.
As part of our accelerated efforts to deliver
more value to our members, we completed our first book licensing arrangement that
enabled us to publish a
special, all Digital Edition of The Trap
Option - 40 Plus 60 Equals Option, an Option Football Coaching
Classic. This addition to the Option
Central Member benefit package appears in the new Option Central
Resource
Library, along with videos produced by Coach Beckish while
he served on the
staff of Lou Holtz at the University of Minnesota.. For more
